Parking
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS
Due to the limited number of student parking spaces, only 123 student parking permits have been issued to Seniors. The results of the lottery drawing of all eligible applications are in! The list was shared via Remind!
Parking passes are ready to be purchased from the DHS Webstore. Senior Parking Hangs Tags are for seniors who were chosen through the DHS parking lottery ONLY. DO NOT purchase a parking pass until you double check the list- NO REFUNDS. Click Here to see if your name is on the list. You must purchase the hang tag from the Webstore, then you will be given further notice via Remind and morning announcements when you can pick up the hang tag in person.
If you are having issues with the Web Store or if the account shows as expired, please contact Ms. Stephanie Davis and include the student's full name and Student ID #. She will contact you as soon as the issue is resolved on the county's end. Please allow 48 hours.
Seniors who did not get a space through the lottery will have priority to buy a St. Luke's pass the first week of school.
ONLY students with current DHS-issued parking hang tag are allowed to park on school property. These students must park in the parking space that corresponds to the number on their parking permit. Students with valid 2020/2021 parking hang tag may share their tag with another student, however the tag must be given and placed in vehicle of the other student. Students are responsible for their tag and must have it in their car when it is parked on campus.
Parking spaces at St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church (at the corner of Mt. Vernon and Vermack) will be sold to the 50 Seniors on the waiting list first, then sold to the remaining Seniors on a first come basis until 110 are sold. Any remaining parking spaces at St. Luke’s will be sold to Juniors.
Failure to obey the parking regulations or falsifying any information will result in the loss of parking privileges, ticketing by the DeKalb Schools Police Department, and/or additional disciplinary actions, as described in the DeKalb County School District Code of Student Conduct.
